FAQ
Does BluLou deliver orders abroad?
Yes — we deliver to countries within the European Union. You can find detailed costs and available delivery methods for international orders on the EU delivery costs page. -- UE SHIPPING COST
How much does delivery cost, and when do you dispatch orders?
We dispatch orders within 24 hours of them being placed. Delivery via InPost Parcel Locker costs 13.99 zł, whilst InPost Courier and DPD Courier cost 15.99 zł. For orders of 199 zł or more (paid in advance), delivery by courier or to a parcel locker is free of charge. We also deliver to EU countries - eu shipping cost
Are BluLou products safe for the skin?
Yes — all BluLou products are dermatologically tested. The range also includes HEMA-FREE and TPO-FREE formulas, designed for people with sensitive nail plates or allergies to certain ingredients.
What is the difference between a primer and a base coat?
A base coat (e.g. Bond Base Gel) is used to improve the adhesion of nail varnish or gel to the nail plate — it is applied as the first layer. A builder base (e.g. Rubber Base Essence) has a thicker consistency, evens out the surface of the nail plate and strengthens the nail. For brittle or thin nails, it is worth combining both types.
Which method do you recommend for nail extensions?
It depends on the desired result and your preferences. The Dual Form technique using acrygel is a quick and precise method — ideal for learning and salon work. Top forms give you more control over the shape. Flexi ABS tips are a modern alternative — flexible, and can be bonded to the base or using LED glue. We describe all these methods in detail in our Training Centre.
Are BluLou products suitable for home manicures, or only for salon treatments?
BluLou products are designed for both professional use in salons and for home manicures. Hybrid nail polishes, base coats, top coats and gels in 9ml bottles are products that anyone with a basic understanding of hybrid nail polish can use. For nail-building and extension techniques, we recommend training — check out our in-person training courses.
How does the Cat Eye effect work, and what do I need to create it?
Cat Eye nail varnishes contain magnetic particles which, when exposed to a magnet, create the distinctive ‘cat’s eye’ effect — a streak of light on the nail. To achieve this look, you’ll need Cat Eye or Aurora Veil nail varnish from BluLou and a magnet (sold separately in the Accessories category). Cure the effect with a UV/LED lamp before removing the magnet.
Is it possible to pay for an order after receiving it?
Yes — we offer cash on delivery via InPost Kurier or DPD Kurier for 21.00 zł. The PayPo ‘Pay in 30 days’ option is also available — order now and pay in a month’s time at no extra cost. This applies to orders shipped within Poland.
How should you look after your cuticles and nails between manicures?
Moisturise your cuticles regularly with cuticle oil (e.g. BluLou Body & Cuticle Oil) — ideally every evening. For your hands, we recommend moisturising creams from the BluLou range. Avoid getting your nails wet straight after having a manicure and wear gloves when doing housework. You can find more tips on our blog.
Can I learn how to do my nails with BluLou?
Yes! BluLou runs a Training Centre with certified instructors in several cities across Poland (including Dynów, Łódź, Andrychów and Radom). We offer training courses in hybrid manicure, Dual Form, French Perfection, Flexi ABS and social media content creation. The courses combine theory with practice and lead to a certificate. For details, visit the Training Centre website.
